Outside the classroom, students are researching 30 feet below the surface of the Caribbean Sea to observe marine organisms and coral reefs, 4,000 years into the past at an archaeological dig in Jordan, or in the field to develop NASA mission-related instruments for near-space exploration. Other students are interning at Fortune 500 companies, immersing themselves in the culture and history of Italy, Thailand or Spain, and engaging in impactful local and global service-learning opportunities.
