Bellarmine University, founded in 1950, is an independent university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Merged with Ursuline College in 1968, Bellarmine became a coeducational institution. Colleges/Schools include Bellarmine College (the home of the Arts and Sciences), the College of Health Professions, the W. Fielding Rubel School of Business, the Annsley Frazier Thornton School of Education, the School of Communication, the School of Environmental Studies and the School of Continuing and Professional School. Its 175-acre campus is located in Louisville, Kentucky.
